"This is a great hotel for a one or two nights stay while exploring the parks in the area. However, the town of Garberville leaves much to be desired. There's nothing in this town worth seeing and do not recommend walking around the area outside the hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent. Nice, safe, and very clean. Would definitely stay here again when passing through."

"We had a fantastic stay. The hotel has so much history and is beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The windows opened to the dining courtyard, and we had a view of the river and bridge. We could also hear the live music from below. It was very relaxing. The room was very clean, with nice amenities. We also really enjoyed breakfast and dinner - delicious and well presented. The afternoon tea should not be missed - wonderful hot scones! We highly recommend this hotel and we hope to return."

"The location of the property is great with easy access to the Avenue of the Giants, local market, gas station, freeway, etc. The property is very clean, kitchen is well equipped, and the owner, Marisa, is very responsive to our needs and queries. She even generously provided us with free range organic eggs. I would highly recommend this property to my friends or anyone."

"Situated on a beautiful piece of nature, this was calming and restful. The interior was clean and with lovely decorator touches. I found it perfectly functional with elegant simplicity - kind of like a Scandinavian Zen with all the nice wood tones. The home is also along the route to Shelter Cove which was a beautiful if windy drive and sweet destination (make sure to eat at Gyppos), not far from Avenue of the Giants to the North and all manner of lovely parks to the south with swimming holes and hiking trails. Be sure to ask about the presence of blue green algae, however, it is very dangerous for dogs and we were unaware of it happening until told by a ranger. Very lovely."
