"A good option if you want to spend time in Cambados- very central and within 2 minutes walk of the old town and very nice restaurants. Great to have a pool as well (albeit it doesn’t open until 11am). This is not, however, as nice as other paradors we have stayed at- the bathroom was tired, the room smaller than others and the aircon was poor. Some of the staff were also not very helpful. That all said, it’s still a great base to explore the region- just not a destination in itself."

"We stayed one night while walking the Camino and while it is about 1km away it is well worth the trip. This is a beautiful old family home that you instantly feel welcomed in. Right from the water and cake you are served during check in the host has thought of every little detail for your stay. "Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. "

"Adequate room but deep in interior of building, and very warm. No air conditioner. I asked for a fan. Nope. I asked to change rooms to the front to maybe catch some cooler air. Nope. Decent enough manager - he comped me a beer one night at the bar downstairs - but customer service went only so far. Free parking on street, right in front. And a bar-restaurant is attached."
