The location of the ryokan is within walking distance to the town and close to the train station. Hotel provides a bus shuttle to the train station. "I came to Gero on a recommendation from a close friend. I somehow missed it when I had done a previous Takayama trip and I am glad I came back. The town is very small and the hotel is easily walkable from the station, some people say 15 mins but it was more like 8-10 mins and that was while stopping to take pictures of the Hida river. Great location for the hotel, close to everything. The Onsen in this hotel alternate between male and female daily so you will have a chance to experience both...

"We stayed in the family suite. The design was well thought out and the beds were comfortable. The location was across the street from a 7 Eleven which was super convenient. There is a ramen place next door. It is a close walk to the bus station and you can walk from the hotel into town. Overall it was a really pleasant stay for a family of 5."
