"Excellent luxury spa hotel. Very helpful and attentive service. Excellent food in Charlie’s. Also enjoyed the lunchtime bar food and many fine touches around the hotel. Enjoyed the heated pool and spa. Special thanks to the young woman who welcomed us at check in and to James from Sunderland for keeping us entertained in the whisky bar despite his injury. Room very nice. All round excellent stay in the Scottish Borders "

Close to historic abbey, Trimontium and historic walking routes (Bishops Way, St Cuthberts Way, Reivers trail) along with the Eilden Hills and Iron Age sites. staff and entire town were very friendly and helpful - recommended "

"We loved staying in this beautiful old hotel. The staff were so kind and treated us like we were the only ones there. The food was delicious and the head chef was so thoughtful that she put a vegetarian dish on the menu for me. We only planned to stay one or two nights but couldn’t bring ourselves to leave and ended up staying 4 nights. "

"Great little hotel in the lovely village of Melrose. The food at the restaurant/pub was excellent and there was a cozy fire buring away. I booked a single accomodation and the room was on the smaller size but perfect for my needs."
