"Oni no sumika is a beautiful ryokan tucked away in Shuzenji. The staff are all extremely kind and accommodating (they do not speak English, so google translator is a must if you’re foreign and they are quick to use it) The traditional breakfast was great, with many small dishes that leave you satisfied but not full to start your day. If I am in shuzenji again I will be staying here."

"Such a cute little place, clean, simple decor with great vibe. Cramped but indoor bike parking. There was a washing machine, although it was in high demand so I had to wait for it, and it was a bit slow, but it did the trick. The onsen bath was private, which was nice, but there were only 2 of them, so I would imagine there might occasionally be a wait for that too. 5 minute walk from the bay where you could watch the ships and see the fishermen packing that morning’s catch."

"As the "hanare" part of "hanareya" suggests, this location is quite far from what you might consider urban Japan, and as such is a good place for some relaxing quiet time. The ryokan room I had was very spacious despite being the smallest type, especially for one person. "So the few things I did not like where the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the onsen water was hot enough to burn me (the rock onsen at the bottom) and the pool closed SOOOO early that we didn’t get to experience it at all. I paid a lot of money for that hotel and then didn’t even get to experience the pool. But the staff was very accommodating and made great efforts to speak English to us. "

"Stayed at this place for Kawazu Sakura Matsuri. This place is right by the beach and it is so soothing to watch the sea from our room or from the lobby. It is also just a few minutes away from the Sakura strip. The onsen was great and the area was clean and neat. Breakfast and dinner are awesome.wonderful showcase of regional seasonal ingredients. "This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is beautiful, overlooking the ocean and a rocky cove with clear water. The onsen was clean, with nice amenities and the same gorgeous views. The breakfast and dinner buffets were wonderful, and the futons were fluffy. Murayama San at the front desk was very kind and helpful. We would love to visit again! "

"Amazing and beautiful hotel. We got the Mt.Fuji view but didn’t get to see it because it was cloudy and rainy when we stayed. The dinner was not what I had expected for the price we paid. But the breakfast buffet was worth it and much better! I will stay there again for the private onsen and golf course in the future. Shared public Amenties with the Marriott which we had no idea but good to know in the future. The shuttle bus was convenient. "
