"Hotel was well kept, very spacious for a Japanese hotel, fantastic view of Mt Fuji, very good breakfast, free shuttle to train stations and very helpful/friendly/professional staff. Our only small negative comment is in regard to the older shuttle driver. He became known as “Grumpy-san” to our family. We are able to converse in basic Japanese, but he would only grunt at us and other riders even when greeting him. Also, he was not very shy about laying on the shuttle horn at tourist which was surprising. Overall Hotel Regina Kawaguchi was a great place to stay and is recommended. "

Fuji from every room, to the peaceful surrounding forest, it was exactly what we were looking for, especially after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The shabu shabu hot pot dinner on our porch with the view of Mt. Fuji was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. "
