The front desk staff were super helpful, the rooms were clean, and the room staff were accommodating and kind. The restaurant had tasty items on the dinner menu (we didn't try the breakfast). "Parkgate is a great place to stay for a day or two in Cardiff. Walking distance from Cardiff Market, Castle and high street. Great food options and shopping nearby. The staff was great and very helpful. The spa (which is a separate business located in the hotel) wasn’t our favorite but the hotel itself is great. Definitely recommend."

"We were terribly disappointed to be kept all night from the room next door having a room party. I contacted reception at 3:30am and 05:00am who did ask the guest to quieten down, which they did for ten minutes then the music went back on. We literally had no sleep the entire night. The radiator wasn't working so had a plug in heater. No hand tissues in the bathroom. Cleanliness was poor."

"Location really good and easy. Lots of stairs in property and cellar rooms require you being outside. Breakfast facilities a bit overwhelmed and seating cramped but food options good. For the price I was expecting spectacular and I got good."
