"Fantastic bed & breakfast in the heart of Middlebury! Lovely inn, beautifully appointed rooms and friendly staff. FYI Room 31 (Cartmell room) is on the main road, so if you are sensitive to street noise this may not be the room for you. "

"The place is beautiful with river running behind property with several fire pit. Property does sell fire wood so no need to try to look for stores who has them. I would definitely recommend to use the fire pit, the scenery is gorgeous but be careful especially during fall theres lots of dry leaves around the pits that may catch fire. The room is very clean with nice sheets and clean towels and has adequate kitchen equipment to use if you are planning to do light cooking. Theres no staff in sight but they are very quick to respond thru text msgs if you have any requests, I loved Avery who helped us when we needed to change the room we booked. She was very quick to respond and eager to help us. I would definitely use this lodge again for people who worked at the property and the beautiful scenery and the atmosphere. "

"The White Horse Lodge was very convenient in our few days trip around Vermont. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, though small, was clean and comfortable. This would be an excellent choice for skiers- close to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Nice facilities include a living room and game room. "
