"We felt really comfortable here because the owner/managers were helpful, welcoming, lovely people. The hotel looks old and stylish and it is refurbished to a high standard. We chose a room with a jacuzzi bath which was great. It’s situated near the main road but we didn’t find it loud inside our room. "Great location, despite being on a main road, I found it very quiet. Easy walk to Papanui shops. Onsite parking and restaurant. Staff super friendly and helpful. Thank you for the upgrade - loved my spacious room and I'd definitely love to stay again. "

"A bit run down and in need of some updating. The beds are really hard, the parking is difficult with very little space, wardrobe doors that don't stay closed, and there is no soap dish in the shower! Lots of paint scrapes on the walls & milk wasn't replenished all weekend. The place just needs a bit of money put towards better presentation, especially given the area it's in. "
