"Staff were brilliant. Breakfast was so good- so much choice. Close to Aldi the tram that takes you into centre. The Turkish restaurant (Istanbul restaurant the 2 local Greek restaurants are really good and decent value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the chef was such a good character - always offered us a choice of eggs/checked our breakfast was ok and spoke to us gave great recommendations. "Our check in was easy and we were shown to our apartment and where to park our car in an enclosed, locked lot. We were just a few minutes walk to the city center of this charming town. There were lots of choices for eating and shopping nearby. Our 2 bedroom apartment was an upgrade from the 1 bedroom we had reserved. The kitchen was immense as well as the patio/balcony which could seat 8 comfortably. September was the perfect month for exploring the old town of Goslar. "

"This was our 3rd visit to Torfhaus Resort Hotel. It is our favorite. The location in the Harz Mountains is serene, but also full of possibilities for hiking, biking, and quick travel to picturesque towns. The houses/cabins at the resort are maintained in excellent condition. There is plenty of room for a family. We enjoy sitting on the deck with a meal and looking at the beautiful views of the forest. "Had to move rooms which was inconvenient; booked 2 nights, was not able to change booking after I booked the first night. Had to do a separate booking and they insisted that I move rooms. Did not make sense (since they had to clean twice) but what do I know. "
