"I cannot impress upon people how idillic this villa is. It is set near a very small village with peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The villa itself has all the amenities one would require, and the inside is is fabulous condition. There was a maid service twice a week and she did a marvelous job keeping the 5 star villa clean and today. Highly recommend this place for anyone planning a holiday to Crete. "

"Villa Alonia is ideal for a family holiday, in particular the two pools and the fact that they are away from the house and safe with a gate at the top of the stairs leading from the living room terrace. The village of Melidoni is a 5 minute walk with a small supermarket and great taverna. George and family are brilliant hosts and Think Villa who manage the booking are amazingly helpful. "What a terrific hideaway this was. It provided the perfect base to explore Crete and a calm hillside haven to come back to each night. It was so well positioned to explore the island from, the house was really well presented and had all we needed. the host was wonderfully helpful and friendly and the pool was the icing on the cake. "Had a fantastic stay at the villa, the bathroom is a little small but the outside space makes up for it. Very friendly owners, the only gripe was the village was a little strange. We was in the mini market one night when the owners were involved in a full on Fist Fight with another shop owner which frightened my partner and daughter..so put a dampener on visiting the village."
