"Despite being in the centre of Ubud, the hotel is set back from the main road and is a haven of peace. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious with a private balcony. Staff were all friendly and charming. Food was good, without being extraordinary. The high point for us was the spa, with the best view from the hotel, and really professional masseuses, who were professional and very sweet."

"We had a very relaxing 5 night stay over new years. Staff very friendly, daily morning and night room service was lovely. Gardens and grounds are beautiful and extremely well maintained. We didn’t opt to pay extra for breakfast in their restaurant as there are so many options around Ubud. Located in a great areas close to everything. Although overcast and rainy most days of our stay we still utilised the pools, pool bar staff very attentive. Overall would highly recommend Alaya!"

"We enjoyed our stay as much as possible at the Sankara Resort. The staff was amazing and attentive and so nice. Our room was very organized and clean as well as provided what we asked. The shuttle bus they have offered is limited to time constraints however very convenient to use rather than walking in the area. If they had more time slots/ flexible times for the shuttle, then it would have been more convenient. This place is a hidden gem as such places in Ubud."

"The main attraction of the lodge is that it is attached to the Taman Safari Park which showcases an amazing array of indonesian, indian and african wildlife. The journey thru the "safari lands" in special buses is outstanding and the park caters to all ages and I think a must see for any visitor to Bali. Now to the lodge itself. Its a great concept and well executed however long overdue for an update. As an example the suite we stayed in cost NZD$800 per night and and iniitally we were wowed. ...

"A fantastic and chill way to spend time with the majestic Sumatran elephants in a very impressive environment. The facilities are great and they are constantly improving. The room was extremely comfortable and the staff quickly and effectively made up our room and performed the turndown service seamlessly. The place is a ton of fun and very well cared for. "It was a huge 1 bedroom apartment, which was good as it helped block out some of the traffic noise. Staff were really nice and helpful, the night watch man booked a dolphin watching trip for me at the same price as it would have been in town, and I was picked up by the boat right in front of the hotel. "Hotel is very nice and staff is very nice,restaurant in hotel give us the best stack and chef have very nice tast in hand .only problem is location of hotel is far from all main restaurants and shopping area ,i order some snakes and grab take 1 hour and not bring all the items because of location is secluded."
