"This 16th century manor house has been lovingly and tastefully restored and one has a sense of stepping back in history. Everything is first class, including the friendly and accommodating service. The location is 10 minutes outside of Ponte de Lima, so a car is recommended. We stayed 3 nights and toured from there, happily returning each time to this beautiful hotel. It was a highlight of our 2 week tour of Portugal."

"Hands down the best hostel stay of my life. Carmo at the Reception desk was so lovely and welcoming and helpful. Her English is perfect as is her positive attitude. "Stayed initially for three night but enjoyed it so much we had two more nights there. The apartments are well appointed and quite private. The rooms were spacious and well fitted with a jacuzzi in the bedroom. Quiet in grounds of large house on outskirts of Vila de Punhe about 4miles from Viana do Castelo. Easy access to the town. The staff were very nice and the owner was very helpful. The views were lovely over the area and vineyards. Everything worked well and had no problems."
