Our room was pleasant, clean, seemingly recently refurbished, and very well appointed / designed / set out, with guests’ convenience in mind. "Property is quirky if you like a medieval setting. We booked king size bed and lake view. We got 2 single beds and the lake view was a very small piece of water between buildings on either side of the street. Reception were not helpful, arguing we had what we booked but I don’t think that is correct. No alternative was offered nor any discount for our disappointment. "The location of this hotel is quite a bit outside of the village, but the walk into town along the lake is so pleasant, it actually was a plus. The town was surprisingly charming and so much more interesting than we were led to believe. (We almost prefer it over Lindau for its charm.)The cobblestoned streets, the lake promenade with several waterside restaurants and cafes, the wineries, the upper town and lower town were fantastic.
