"This is the place to stay while visiting Tangier. The location is perfect for exploring the Medina, museums and walking distance to restaurants. We wanted to be right in the thick of things, so stayed away from the big hotel chains near the train station. You walk out the door and feel transported in time. The riad itself is gorgeous with a stunning collection of artwork and extremely nice and helpful owner and staff. Abdullah greeted us and arranged a car to take us to Chefchouen. Zechariah was so helpful as well as all the staff. Roya, the owner, gave us great advice about what not to miss. We did not get a guide, preferring to wander around ourselves and take it all in. We felt very safe. The breakfast experience was amazing——loved all the Moroccan breads and pancakes. My only advice is to visit this lovely country when it’s not Ramadan. We feel we missed out on the normal buzz of activity and food. Most tea houses were closed during the day and there was no street food, completely understandable as everyone fasts all day. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Excellent location, within walking distance of the Kasbah, city tour bus, and the ferry port. The hosts were beyond wonderful and went out of their way to help find alternative travel options after weather-related cancellations, especially when I couldn’t reach the transportation company. The service was highly customizable and personalized. I initially booked because of the location, but I would return for the exceptional hospitality."

"We had a great stay at Debbie's House in the Tangier medina. Her manager, Abdellah, and his brother, Hakim, met us on arrival and arranged to have our luggage moved to the house (we had quite a lot for our extended stay) and moved us out again when we left. Abdellah gave us great advice on local sightseeing and offered to help with any questions we had during our stay. Whenever we had a question or issue he was quick to respond and really made us feel comfortable and welcome.We enjoyed our stay in the medina, getting a feeling for daily life there We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace looking over the medina down to the bay,- we spent hours there every morning and evening. The interior stairs would be a problem if you have mobility issues. We were a little concerned at first but soon got used to winding up and down between floors. We would definitely stay again if we return to Tangier."

"Lovely family run riad. Ishmal was exceptional with his service and care. Highly recommended a stay here. But come hungry as the breakfast is huge. Room was very comfortable and opened onto the stunning roof terrace."

"Nice hotel, convenient location in the new part of town. Lovely beach across the street. Make sure you book a room with sea view. You will not be disappointed. You can even see the Spanish coastline (Tenerife) in the distance from your room. Too bad the hotel pool wasn’t open. I was there in January and had the pool been open, cleaned and heated I would have definitely used it. But I understand that it was winter temperatures in Morocco. For me as a Canadian it was like Spring. "
