"When I arrived at the place there was no one at reception. There were a bunch of guys all around inside and outside the place. I said I booked a room and they all looked at me weird and didn’t speak any English. They just led me out of the place and pointed to a different spot. It was late and dark and I was very uncomfortable and scared. I tried looking for a place they pointed me to and it was a gated residential facility. I left."

"If you dislike being trapped in a hotel room, then this is the place for you. Self catering but with the enhanced security of being in a supervised complex. Plenty of parking for a vehicle. The staff were outstandingly good. Reception, housekeeping, maintenance, all deserve a mention for their efficiency, courteousness and politeness. No complaints at all. Thank you for an enjoyable 8 day stay. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Complutum Hostel! So artsy and cool just like in the photos. Its in steps away from historic sites and literally across the street from a gorgeous old spanish court adorned with lush gardens. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The cafe serves delicious food. The a la carte breakfast at the cafe was wonderful! Fresh squeezed orange juice, quiche and baked goods. YES they squeezed the juice right in front of us! Cool little gathering room filled with tables...

"The toilets and rooms have a stench. On the second night, I found someone in my bed. It is also a bit far from the city center, and the walk from the metro station to the hostel felt rather unsafe at night. The staff was helpful and spoke English, but I generally did not enjoy my stay. "
