Winter paradise for the Mcall Carnival

"The Condo was very clean a few tiles were broke going into the master bathroom but you could tell they have put some kind of epoxy on them which makes them look shiney and interesting to look at. The Condo is spacious, homey, and warm inviting. They have messages all over the two French doors that talk about how to close them and open them. It doesn’t work for the Master Bedroom because some of the mechanics are missing from the door. So in the middle of the night our door came open and we got a little cold. My husband shut it again hoping it would stay shut it did. They should replace the French doors to something easier to use. My 11 year old had fun using the snow sled they had in the laundry room. We also used the wagon to carry babies down to the parade. After the parade we walked over to the burger restaurant right across the street and took them back to the condo to eat because the restaurant was full. Best burgers I have had in a while. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoy the fresh mountain air more. But sadly vacations end and all you have are the memories. I made some wonderful ones here in the condo because I couldn’t leave it much due to my back pain so it was nice to have family come see me. It was also good I could see some of the fireworks from the living room window. "

"Great location, close to everything but still a private experience. Property is excellently maintained and furnished with everything you need. Bed was comfortable. Owners graciously left us a welcome package with Champaign, chocolate and fancy popcorn! Couldn't ask for a better experience! "

Cozy Cottage Dream

"I am so grateful to have found this sweet place to stay in McCall, Idaho! It was clean, cozy and had all the amenities we needed for our winter break vacation. I've worked in hospitality for over a decade and can honestly say this place is a rare gem. The rooms are spacious, the bedding was super comfortable and the decor is inviting and made us feel instantly "at home".A big plus was being able to invite our family members over - including their fur babies - and have the space to enjoy home cooked meals, plays games and watch movies together (versus being in a hotel room for the week).Kathleen was easy to communicate with and I can tell takes pride in offering a comfortable and affordable place. Thank you!We will certainly be back!"

Horrible - A Warning about this Owner and VRBO

"We've used VRBO many times in the past. You can check my history and ratings as a guest - I am a husband, father and CEO of a small company and we have always used VRBO with good results.We booked this property and paid in full September 29, 2024 for an arrival on December 29, 2024. I received all the confirmations from VRBO, including the "Here are you keys" email on December 26, with the email saying "the owner will email you the keys on your arrival day".Arrival day - Sunday, December 29 - no communication and no response from the owner, including the phone number provided and messaging through the VRBO app.4pm on a Sunday in a resort town on New Year's week - no place to stay for my family. VRBO put me on hold for 30 mins, then I spoke to a junior person in the Philippines - no escalation or urgency.After 2.5 hours on the phone, Sunday evening, received One Key credits and left to my own devices to try and find a place to stay. It's Sunday, 5pm on a holiday week in a resort town, and the credit they give you is for the amount you booked an advanced reservation for 2 months ago.We ended up staying in a motel for the week. No kitchen, laundry or other things a family booking a condo 2 months in advance was planning for (cooking vs eating out).This was an alarming wake up call for our family.At a minimum, this owner is a terrible person, as we saw them at the unit! They obviously just decided to use their property for the holiday."
