"Amazing property, great customer service, awesome calming river behind our back door, delicious food (sooo good), and a pool with monkey's swinging around in the trees above. I liked that they don't have tv, I was able to rejuvenate and get work done in a serene environment. Highly recommended!"

"Warm, smiling reception, with gratis juice served while processing my checkin. This serene lodge has its origins dating back approximately 70 years ago as a German compound. It has become a mature, East African arboretum with bungalows. Want to get outside of the hotel bubble … this peaceful, gated sanctuary is for you."

"I arrived at the property at 4am. My driver woke someone up in order for the gates to be opened. From the moment I stepped into this magical world, I felt swept away by the atmosphere, the 4 poster bed, the warm shower, the surrounding nature and even the charming monkeys running on the property. I enjoyed an in-room massage and a fantastic breakfast and lunch. Five stars are not enough. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10. "

"Yes there is a bumpy 15 minute ride from the main road but the pay off is a tranquil environment to relax at Kili Villa. Our room had a lovely outlook to the gardens where local fauna and birds did their thing. The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the food was delicious. Perhaps the experience could have been improved with better communication about food and drink options when we arrived (with an explanation card). There are no other options for F&B in the area (aside from the golf club)...

"I really enjoyed my stay at Lake Duluti! It was peacefully and tranquil which is what I was looking for. The property is amazing with lots of trees, plants and animals. Having my own chalet gave me a lot of privacy and made it easy to have restful nights. The staff were helpful and made my stay comfortable and fun. They would have my chalet preped for sleeping when I was having dinner. I would stay at Lake Duluti again if coming back to Arusha. "

"Nice place except the noise coming from the other side of the wall was ungodly which is out of managements control. Loud music and preaching until 3am several nights in a row so very hard to sleep. Also rather hard to locate at first. On the other hand, the rooms were great, staff very friendly & helpful, the food is excellent and the grounds are beautiful."

"Ishara Lodge was one of the best places I've found to stay in Arusha. The property is incredible with so many nice walking paths among the beautiful trees and beautiful gardens. The staff were unbelievably helpful with every one of our needs and kept us comfortable the whole time. "This property is off the “beaten path” but well worth the trip and only 20-30 min outside of Arusha. The property was clean, reasonably priced, quiet, and very courteous staff members. I arrived late night (after 9pm) and staff was available and willing to prepare dinner. On a clear day you may catch a glimpse of both Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro side by side…..amazing! Food and drinks are priced quite high for the region and the quality was very unimpressive. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable and there is no AC in the room! It was very hard to sleep due to the high heat and humidity in the room at night. We have stayed in 3 other mid-budget hotels this trip and all of them had in room AC units. WiFi...

Best cost benfit

"great services like I got during my stay. The check in was while sitting in a living room, they explain me all of the option for a day tour, the took care of my laundry after treking the Kilimanjaro. The lodge looks is wonderful, all is green beautifully plants, the room is wide, clean cacfully and really nice, the food is diverse and delicious. Even the manger came to talk with you and welcome you. I have traveled all over and never enjoyed stay in lodge like I did this time. It considered 3 stars but it’s much much more !!! The best cost benefit. Strongly recomended"

"Peaceful spot just outside Arusha, with lots of monkeys hanging around outside to watch as you chill with a drink. The pool was lovely and the whole place has a premium feel with great service. Would definitely come back - this was the perfect start to my safari hol as a solo 30yo female traveller :)"
