"The house is lovely, great location and situation. The shore just below the house is rocky and charming, but requires caution descending to it (in the winter anyway). Sunrise over the south end of Monroe Island is just gorgeous. Views from every room. The kitchen is great, and the most generously supplied with cookware and dishes that I've ever seen in a rental. Super."

"If you’re looking for walking distance access to a sandy public beach in central Maine, this property will fit the bill. In our case it was Thanksgiving so no swimming in store but a huge advantage was walking distance to family property and access to more beds. It was clean, the beds comfortable, and although we didn’t cook much, the kitchen was well outfitted. When more family gatherings are scheduled, we will contact the owner. Susan from VA"

"Stayed for a longweekend in November. The cottage by the sea is literally right on the sea, the views are breathtaking, the sunrise gorgeous and we were lucky to have beautiful weather. The host thought of everything, the cottage has everything you need to make a wonderful stay. Would definitely return. Rockland is about a 15 min drive and a great place to visit."

"Had an amazing stay at this charmer on the coast! Very clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Spent many hours just watching the ducks and birds enjoying the treats that come and go as the tides change. Great jumping off point to enjoy the beautiful coast of Maine! The only drawback is that the road is incredibly close to the house and the traffic noise is impossible to drown out, especially when trying to sleep in the second bedroom. Not ideal, but we would definitely return! "
