"Overall it was ok for one night but regarding the room condition nothing changed as per the last reviews. I was given a double bed room but actually it was two single beds and there was a big crack in the middle of the two single mattresses, I couldn't sleep whole night due to this, whole next day my back was hurting. "Firstly, we had two properties cancell on us, both booked thru VRBO, so I'll never use them again! Secondly, this particular property cancelled on us at 11.13 am on the day of our stay! We were already in London, having travelled down from Preston to see Guns N Roses. The cancellation left three of us knee deep in the mire, and completely wrecked our weekend. "A bizarre experience… Wasn’t able to actually stay at this property as I never received check-in instructions from the host. Unfortunately the host read and ignored my messages and emails as well as communications from the property manager (they weren’t much help either), for reasons unknown. Luckily hotels.com stepped in and gave me a full refund + a voucher for compensation."

"Wonderful hosts, beautiful area, linens and cooking utensils provided, as well as a few tea bags and coffee sachets for a cuppa and a sit down when you arrive! easy self check in with amenable hosts. 10/15 min walk to the local high street, and ample parking space. a great self catering stay - does the job, i would happily recommend and stay again. thank you!"

"This was by far one of the best stately manor/Halls we have stayed at, The House is breathtaking and spacious, free parking and breakfast was included in the Price. The fine dining was excellent but pricey, Therr was a cheaper option in the lounge bar. Drinks expensive but well worth it for the experience. Spa and hydra pools not included but was very nice. The best thing about the hotel were the staff. Polite, helpful and attentive, by far the best service we have had in a long while. Thoroughly impressed and highly recommended "

Great Value For Money Hotel

"Stopped here a few times and for an airport hotel, it's one of the better ones. The staff are super friendly and it offers great value for money. The rooms are a little on the cosy side but are well equipped and modern. My only gripe, and this is a personal preference, is that the mattress is too hard and the pillows are not great. One pillow is too low and two pillows is too high. Woke up with a stiff neck and a headache from the pillows. This was sorted out by a lovely hot shower in the modern bathroom. The Rituals toiletries and Dressing Gowns are a nice touch. This is a great hotel with a superb buffet breakfast and I can highly recommend it."
