"The place is great; modern, American style town homes. Everything you need and location is perfect for that area of the Basque country as long as you have a car. Beware though if you need good wifi, there is only one router for several units and if all units are rented, the wifi becomes extremely slow. Also, communication can be slow, there was a 15 hour period where we were not sure if we were going to have to change properties due to a serious problem because no one was communicating with us - - neither the property owner nor VRBO. In the end, the property owner fixed the problem (which should have been fixed before he rented out the unit) and we ended up staying our full stay but it was extremely worrisome when nobody was communicating with us as to what was going on. Otherwise, we totally recommend the property. Make sure to bring towels and soaps etc. When we stayed years ago, all of that wasn't provided but this time, we had to go buy everything. Down to the salt and pepper and basically cooking items."

"We needed a “home base” for two weeks. Family wedding in Basque, family events in Biarritz and many other local travels. We knew the weather would be slightly hot and likely rainy so we wanted a place with AC. Got it here :) Philippe was the best host we have ever encountered! If we needed any little thing he was there to provide that item. Most everything needed was at this beautiful house already. We did need a bit of direction here and there which Philippe was there to provide. Although we did not use the pool it was gorgeous. And it was very well maintained along with the house and the grounds. The house is spacious and beautifully laid out. The grounds are lovely and wooded. The wall and gate that surrounds the property provides security (as does Philippe being near by). Having a washer, dryer and dishwasher was very helpful to us. Anything one could possibly need was provided…ironing board, drying rack, some paper products, tv cables, etc… The nearby markets, bakery and pharmacy are so convenient. We sometimes walked there and back. We hope to return soon to this peaceful paradise. Thank you Philippe for providing a beautiful and worry free place for us to stay. 🙏"

"Its a great deal if you are driving, it's situated about 10 min drive from Bayonne city center. But if you have a car or bike you can get to town very quickly and come back when you're done."

"Beautiful rural property about a five minute drive away from Saint Jean Pied de Port. Clean and comfortable. Jean is a wonderful host, very helpful and gracious. Highly recommended. The view of the mountains is unbelievable!"
