"Place clean, adequately furnished/equipped, very basic. Towels were clean but hard and uninviting - same colour and washed/dried with softener would solve. Major issue was old mattress, turned over to a spring twanging accompaniment, and prod in the back. Bedding clean but needs replacing. "

"The property, views, and access to local amenities are fantastic. The house was amazing, well appointed, comfortable, and immaculately clean. The hot tub is brilliant and our kids loved spending the time in it after a full on day walking or at the beach. Johnny as a host is just one of those authentic people you meet in life, warm, friendly and an all round great guy that couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel welcome or share local knowledge. "We really enjoyed our stay at surfs up beach house. It was really close to the beach, the beach has lots of waves and there was lots of nice places to go walking with our dogs. Loved the rustic feel of the beach house, has a lovely garden and good amenities would love to stay again. Would definitely recommend. Thank you "

"We had a great weeks stay at the Thistledown lodge. The property was very clean and perfect for our arrival. The instructions/directions were clear and made for easy arrival. The lodge was perfect for us and our dog. The lodge had everything we required for a great stay. The hot tub was perfect as well, while the dog enjoyed her time in the garden (which was fully secure for her to roam about freely) The lodges location was a short walk to two great local pubs, which both served great food....

"The hot tub, the biggest attraction for us, could’ve been a few degrees warmer as it was raining and very cold outside but the place was spacious, pleasant and we had a lovely 2 night stay which was the perfect amount."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely lodge albeit a bit tired in places. Peaceful, quiet and comfortable. Hot tub was lovely, warm and smelled clean. Staff very friendly and professional. Only drawback is it's 5 miles from nearest shop so if you forget anything you have a treck to get whatever. Gorgeous meal in restaurant. Would return"
