"From receiving the arrival details to leaving the property at the end of our stay, we couldn’t fault a single thing. Hilda was informative regarding the check in procedure, there were biscuits crisps and pop on the table for us, and the house was lovely and warm. "This cottage is located perfectly. The walk down to the front is about 7/8 mins. There are shops all around and plenty of places to eat. The cottage is away from the hustle and bustle, is very well equipped and the beds are so comfy. We had an amazing weekend and will definitely be booking to stay here again. "

"We informed Host and Stay the day we arrived the toilet down stairs was not working. We called them each day we were there to get resolution. They came to look at the toilet the next day in the afternoon and yet they did not fix the toilet. They made no attempt the remaining 2 days we were there. When we left 2 days later, the toilet had not been fixed. Host and Stay has been non-responsive as to offering us a refund."

"Loved our stay very clean and cosy ! Best bed ever and beautiful inside from top to bottom. Close to centre 10 min walk perfect Maybe leave a small Complementary gift relevant to the area biscuits maybe As most hotels do this, also needs a full length mirror upstairs rather than in the bottom of the stairs only one very small mirror in second bedroom But other than that we had a fantastic stay "

"Excellent venue with lots of parking. Very clean and spacious. This was a last minute booking and communication was poor. You don't get access instructions until you pay a waiver that costs either an additional £10 or £25 depending on what you choose. And then you have to chase to get it back. Sounds a bit of a con to me but I had no choice. Overall though the property was excellent, just let down by a poor letting agent in my opinion."

"Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund."

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."

"This place had everything we needed and everything worked as it should. The beds were nice and comfy and the sheets were clean. I found Simon to be very accommodating and very flexible on checkout.
