"Hotel is clean, tidy, and conveniently located, with relatively easy transport links to a lot of the island, or the Valetta transport hub which can reach the areas not covered by the buses going from or through Silema. If I had any niggle it would be the shower design, practically guaranteed to get water all over the bathroom floor, but that was a minor issue."

I ordered room service twice - the food arrived in good time, was tasty and a good portion size. The staff collected the dishes after I was done. Check-in and check-out were smooth and the staff were keen to help however they could. I can’t think of anything to suggest to make it better. Thank you for a lovely time. "

"Grand Hotel Excelsior is beautiful, elegant hotel not far (5 min walk) from Valletta's City Gate entrance by the Triton Fountain. The location by the water of the bay offers amazing views by day or night. The extra attention by all of the staff was very appreciated as it wasn't overpowering but discreet and gracious. Breakfast is just perfect. Everything is there but I would recommend trying some of the island specialities like Pastizzi and their typical cheese. All in all we had a very comfortable and relaxing staying, feeling that this experience has definitely exceeded our expectations. "
