"My partner and I had a wonderful stay here for 3 days, we had no issues at all. The location is very central to Frome, so we didn't have to walk far to get to the places we wanted to visit. I read in other reviews that the car park is small and difficult to park in, so we parked in other carparks near. The service from the staff was definitely a highlight - Wayne is fantastic! in the evening, he was very friendly and had a great sense of humour. We felt very welcome. The staff who were working in the morning were also very nice and accommodating, although we didn't catch their names. The room was good and both breakfasts and dinners were also very good, and had decent menus. Considering the price, we feel that the George Inn is difficult to beat and exceeded all expectations "

"Our stay was everything that was promised in the literature. Clean room and bathroom, well stocked tea tray, lovely hot water shower and bath. We did experience an issue with the toilet cistern not refilling but staff were on hand immediately it was reported and rectified the problem. Well done! Cooked to order breakfast with good quality tasty ingredients. Would stay here again and recommend to others. A quick touch up of paintwork on the bathroom skirting under the radiator would make it look make it look a whole lot better being the only negative comment."

"Having booked our parking through Just Park, we received excellent directions to the limited spaces at the rear of the hotel. (The satnav wanted to send us elsewhere!) We were welcomed, offered assistance with our baggage and directed to our room. We had selected a Superior Room as we were celebrating an anniversary and found ourselves (after a long and winding walk along a corridor whose floor was a little uneven in places - showing the history of the building) in a suite! Very nice (although the sofa is not particularly comfortable to sit on). The bedroom was large, with a very comfortable bed, a desk a chair and plenty of drawers to store your clothes. The ‘wardrobe’ is off the sitting area. 2 very large TVs and a lovely, large, well appointed bathroom. It suited us very well. No breakfast, but plenty of advice on options nearby. On checkout, I discovered that, although the message I had received from Hotels.com had stated (as per my selection on booking) that I would pay at the hotel, payment had been taken 2 days previously. It was explained that this was the policy of the hotel. I have no problem with this - but I do think that Hotels.com should reflect this in their booking confirmation. All in all, it suited us very well."
