"room doors do not have slow close so people constantly slam them at all hours of the night. Room lockers for valuables do not fit a standard carry on rolling bag so your valuables will not be secure even if you have a lock. Finally, the cleaning staff were extremely rude and condescending upon checking in. Area is also not very nice and very loud, but can get to Old Port close by walking. "

They didnt have towels, and the front desk was horrible with bad service (there eere 2 dark haired men (one with short hair one with long hair), 1 woman, and french guy with short hair. The woman and french guy were very nice. The other two said things like "nope, dont have towels" and thats it. Or "this is a hotel not a hostel" when i told them there was no water. "I’m not sure why there are bad reviews for this property. Especially since the price is budget friendly. The neighborhood is quiet with views of the mountains/hills. You have to have a key fob to get onto the property as the grounds are gated. The hostel is clean, and the staff is friendly. This was my fourth time in Marseille, and my first time in the 12th Arrondissement. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for hosting Bum Bum Jones and I! "

"The good thing with the place is the location. It's close to the train station and not very far to walk anywhere. The "hostel" is however in a very bad shape in a pretty creepy house on like the third floor It's basically someones apartment with some bunk-beds. Nothing is fresh, internet isn't free (3 euro), kitchen is very low standard, no atmosphere and no proper place to hang out, although the is a balcony. Far too expensive for what was offered"
