"This unique property was beautifully located with views over the Dordogne, a small pool which was wonderful to cool off with a glass of wine which was bought out to us. The room was very nicely decorated, rustic wooden beams and a lovely hot shower. The hosts were incrediably warm and friendly and clearly love to welcome people to their house and the local area."

"Julien, the owner, was great, as was his assistant Rosie. It is a truly excellent location, close to all one would want to see in Bordeaux. It is on a very quiet street, adjacent to some of the main thoroughfares. Breakfast was very acceptable too. And Julien was very willing to share advice on things to do, how to get there etc. We would definitely stay with Julien again."

"Warm welcome from Estelle with helpful guidance for local points of interest and restaurants. Shower was very good with hot water operating without any wait time. Breakfast was all of good quality, home made approach with apples pick from her tree each morning, and cooked eggs from her free range hens were offered. Very nice secure countryside house."

"Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette chambre. La literie est très confortable et le jacuzzi est un grand plus du logement. Attention cependant l'espace douche a un plafond assez bas (1m95 je pense) peu adapté pour les grandes personnes. Tout est déjà prêt sur place pour le petit-déjeuner mais c'est la première fois que j'expérimente un logement avec une boite a clés, ça manque cruellement de relations humaines."

"Most enjoyable stay in a historical part of Bordeaux. Our room was spacious and well equipped, our host was attentive and provided everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, she added something special every morning in addition to the croissants, bread,coffee and other normal offerings. Frédérique was a delightful host. We will return if ever in the area and recommend to our friends."

"The property is absolutely stunning! The decor and finish is of such a high spec. The communal room is lovely and the pool and outside area is beautiful! The breakfast was delicious and just enough to start your day! The hosts are lovely and attentive just enough but not in your face. The location is great and close enough to walk into town. "The room was beautiful - but a reminder that 2nd floor in France = 3rd floor in USA. While the room was new and had a beautiful view over the public gardens the private bathroom is anything but - the toilet is literally IN your room, with no privacy at all. It is not ideal. We only stayed for one night so made it work - but it wouldn't be comfortable with anyone other than a significant other. Also - we asked if any extra pillows were available (total of two provided) and the answer was no. "
