"They are lovely people and allowed me in the room early after a short sleep in the communal area, thanks. The big problem was my included transport from the airport, it was late in the night 2am, it was delayed to 3am and the last message was I will be there. I waited till 4.15 am sending messages and calling. Eventually took an expensive airport taxi, 13,000 rupees, the excuse "my phone battery" but the taxi driver managed to ring and then later I realise you own no car and book taxis. ...

"It's at the end of a back alley, the rooms are basic, there is an odour/smell - best you pay another $50 and get a 4 star. This is not a 3 star hotel, its one star at best. Avoid !!"

We arrived into Colombo around midnight and our transfer driver was waiting to take us to vila diva as we had arranged which was included in the rate for our stay. The next morning we were transported very promptly back to the airport for a small fee. Both the room and transport car were exceptionally clean.
