It did have steep steps if you’re older. But a bathroom upstairs was a plus! A convince store across the street and a great restaurant around the corner. "Loved easy access and parking space large bright common area and nice kitchen was great but having to climb on a bench to pull down shades is daunting Our major complaint was the lack of surfaces to set two suitcases and toiletry bags in the bedrooms. Also, they may look nice, but decorative pillows on a bed are unnecessary and create a further space problem. "

It is within walking distance to the Aerial Lift Bridge and numerous restaurants and stores. We saw a few massive boats coming and going. "Overall this quiet comfortable Hillside Retreat provided just about all I would ask for in a short term rental. I liked the convenient parking steps away from our door, having one and a half bathrooms. My favorite part about this spot was the private sauna. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here next time we are in Duluth."
