"Horrendous experience. Do yourself a favor and book a reputable property nearby. I booked a room for one night and was sent a message confirming the booking several days in advance. The day prior to my arrival, I was sent an email asking for information including name, passport, and address. "The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the other people staying there. The floor upstairs is the ceiling of your room and you hear every step and all the sound echos. "Its a nice property located 5 mins walking from Piata Sfatului. You have access to the entire top floor that includes a large bedroom, a bathroom, a small kitchen and a balcony. The owner is a nice guy. I had some trouble communicating with him as he spoke little English but my partner speaks Romanian and so it worked out. "Perfectly located in the centre of the old town, with a great breakfast. Lacked a bar on site, but plenty of options nearby. Only negative was that the room was so hot, and there didn't seem to be any way of controlling it. My room looked out on to an inner courtyard so not a lot of natural light coming in. The front facing options perhaps better in this regard. Overall i would recommend."

"Very difficult for parking but not only this property sinceはは it's in central. We stayed with kids and mini dog for 9 nights and loved their interior and enough space to feel comfortable. One thing note that there's no grills and oven only microwave/electric kettle/coffee maker so you cannot cook except microwave meals or warm it up. "We stayed in the Avantgard apartment and while the location was great; right in the centre of the old town, within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and shops, the apartment did have a few issues. It faces the main road so it was quite noisy throughout the night. The apartment itself is also very creaky, especially the loft where the bed is. The kitchen has a stove and microwave, but not much in the way of pots/pans or crockery so it's not great for cooking your own meals. The...

Highly recommend.

"I actually arrived a day before I had booked my reservation and Eszter was kind and helpful and got me in a day early! There was a private balcony that overlooks the Black Cathedral that I had all to myself and enjoyed a cup of hot tea complimentary included with the room. Very good location and multiple breakfast options from two easy to get to locations. I ate at the restaurant directly below my room which has vegetarian options too. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to a solo traveler or anyone looking for an authentic hotel in a perfect location, safe, friendly and clean. "
