Ca's Pastor - Cala Varques

This restored 19th century house offers the comfort of a modern house as well as the charm of its classic Majorcan architecture. The huge central area of the house is a real eye-catcher; here you will find all the common rooms of the house, such as the dining room, the kitchen or the living room. The more than 150 square metres are divided in two by three spectacular arches and give this house its uniqueness and particulary.

This beautiful house is located on the grounds of the Finca de Sant Josep, one of the largest lands in Manacor that used to cover an area of more than 900 hectares. It is located between the villages of Porto Colom - one of the most beautiful natural harbours of Mallorca - and Portocristo, famous for its natural caves, such as the Cuevas del Drach and the Cuevas des Hams.

Two of the most beautiful unspoilt beaches in the southeast of Mallorca, Cala Varques and Cala Magraner, can be reached by walking from the house in only 30 minutes. It is also close to the beach of Cala Murada, with its recommended beach bar, where you can enjoy the best music and food of the area. Other beaches a few kilometres away are Calas de Mallorca, Cala Romántica or Cala Mandia.
Passionate golfers can practice their hobby at the Vall d'Or golf course, located just 12 kilometres away. If you like cycling, you should take advantage of the good connection to the road, which is one of the most popular and frequented cycling routes in Majorca.

The house is situated in an idyllic area surrounded by forest and only a few kilometres away from some of the best beaches of the island, ideal for families and sport lovers.

Ein kleines Paradis
Etwas von der Straße entfernt hat man Ruhe vor den vielen Touristen und kann wunderbar am Pool entspannen. Wäre gut wenn sich jemand um die Katze, die da offensichtlich wohnt, kümmern würde.

Tolle Finca mit ein paar Abzügen
Fantastische historische und grosszügige Finca in schöner, aber strassennaher Lage zwischen Porto Cristo und Portocolom. Cala Varques ist fussläufig in gut 30 min. erreichbar. Toller Pool und Garten mit überdachtem Essbereich mit Gasgrill. Die Ausstattung sollte in manchen Bereichen jedoch dringend erneuert werden: Waschmaschine sehr alt und kaputt trotz Reparatur, Gartenmöbel erneuerungsbedürftig, Küchenausstattung ok aber auch in die Jahre gekommen, ein Wasserrohrbruch wurde zum Glück von uns entdeckt aber dann sehr zeitnah repariert. Aufgrund der vielen, vielen Mücken wären heile Netze vor den Schlafzimmfenstern toll gewesen. Aber insgesamt ein toller und sehr beeindruckender Ort!

Tolles, sehr gepflegtes Landhaus mit riesen Pool
Sonne von früh bis spät, toller Pool! Super viel Platz im Haus für 6 Personen. Viel Platz zum kochen, Gasgrill, alles was man wünscht! Schlafzimmerfenster mit Mückennetzen. Viel Liebe zum Detail. Matratzen könnten bald mal ausgetauscht werden, ansonsten nichts zu meckern!

Finca with a view - we loved the ambiance
The first thing we noticed (and this is totally not played up enough in the description) is the beautiful location. We arrived at sundown and the sea view past the pool was just gorgeous. The location is perfect to get away from the hustle of tourist resorts. The road nearby did not bother us in the slightest.. the noise is minimal. The finca is larger than expected but just as lovely as the photos suggest. The ambiance of the place is just special! We had a total of 4 adults and 2 kids staying and we all had plenty of room. The bathrooms and kitchen appliances are a bit dated but we knew to expect that from the photos - everything worked and thats the main thing. The managing company communicated with us very swiftly and answered all our questions ahead of time. We had a bit of an issue midway through the 2 week holiday (nothing to do with the villa, external factors) and the company dealt with it swiftly even though it was a Sunday. We were very happy with the quick response. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is the lack of air conditioning. We had wrongly assumed these old buildings self ventilate a bit...however it was hotter inside than out on most nights. This made it a bit difficult to sleep (we live in the UK and Finland so not used to sleeping in heat) as the fans didn't help enough. The nearby beach in beautiful (Cala Varques) but be prepared to walk quite a way. Or be smart and drop your family off (there is a road almost all the way to the beach) and take teh car back and work up a sweat jogging back down : ) The closest town in Cala Romantica na the beach there was good too. We didn't spend any time in the actual town though apart from stopping off at the bakery. Manacor (15min drive away) was a revelation as the Saturday night market was great and it had some great restaurants too. It seemed authentically Mallorcan, unlike some other towns we have visited in the past. This was reflected in the prices too which we're super cheap everywhere. Definitely worth a visit!

Einzigartig schöne und stilvolle Finca
Unsere Familie mit drei Generationen hat während zehn Tagen anfangs Oktober 2016 die wunderschöne, stilvolle und charmante Finca Cas Pastor bewohnen dürfen. Die überaus grosszügige Wohnfläche in Küche, Essraum und Wohnzimmer hat auch bei Regenstunden genügend Platz für alle zum Spielen und Verweilen geboten. Alle Geräte in der Küche haben einwandfrei funktioniert und nach zwei Tagen haben wir auch die Inbetriebnahme des Backofens kapiert. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, auch alle Schlaf- und Badezimer, und überaus zweckmässig eingerichtet. Der Pool und die Aussenanlagen sind bestens gewartet und sehr gepflegt. Der historische Atlas hat uns alle in den Bann gezogen und die Erinnerungen an die mallorquinische Seefahrernation ist aufgelebt :-) Nach langem Überlegen ist uns nur ein Makel an der Finca eingefallen, nämlich der spärliche Autolärm der Strasse südlich des Hauses - doch bereits am zweiten Tag haben wir diesen nicht mehr wahrgenommen. Wir können die Finca nur empfehlen und hoffen, dass noch viele Feriengäste das Ambiente des Hauses geniessen können! Wir haben unvergesslich schöne Ferientage in der Finca Cas Pastor erleben dürfen und danken dem Vermieter herzlich. Auf bald und mit herzlichem Gruss aus der Schweiz Familie Müller-Bodmer

We loved the place!
The Finca is exactly what we were looking for. We (me, my wife and 4 kids) spent two weeks there and enjoyed very much the loniless, the very nice surrounding and the relaxing pool. Even though Mallorca was completely crowded in high season we never had this impression. The organization went very well, we got the keys even in the middle of the night, the cleaning people and pool boy came once a week and the contact was always available. To make it even more perfect it would be good to provide some practical tipps in a short summary paper where the next super market is, some nice places to dine out etc. Best regards Michael and family
