With attention to detail so it can comfortably accommodate 4 to 5 people, the apartment Oinos calms the senses at first sight. With a separate sitting area in shades of yellow, a dining area with kitchen, a spacious and functional bathroom and all the necessary comforts of a modern accommodation, the Oinos tempts the guest all year round with the large openings to the exterior areas for the summer months and the big fireplace for the months of the mild Cretan winter.

Surroundings:
Between Agia Pelagia and Ligaria. Two calm, sparkling clean beaches cooled down by the clear blue that stretches before them. Just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Heraklion, the Keramos complex with the six separate areas of accommodation, gazes from high up into the splendour of the sea and the tranquillity of the surrounding Cretan landscape, wild and hospitable all at once. From the organised exterior but also from all interior spaces, the view sprawls uninterrupted, beckoning for exploration and relaxation.

The beautiful and calm gulf of LYGARIA in only 400m away. It is a lovely narrow stretch of sand with calm and warm crystal clear waters. Watersports, scuba diving, sea beds, super markets and fish tavernas make this spot one of the most famous in the area.

The AGIA PELAGIA sandy bay is about 2 Km away. It is protected from the north winds, and the sea is almost always calm.
AGIA PELAGIA village has developed around its shores, so that's where you'll find many of the tavernas and cafeterias. In the center of Agia Pelagia you will find a super market, tourism offices, pharmacy, an ATM, tourist and souvenir shops and the taxi stand.
There are many restaurants and tavernas featuring Cretan, Greek or international cuisine, and all have a beautiful view of the sea. As you dine in Agia Pelagia, you can also partake of the wonderful scenes around you, and snap these memories into a treasured photo album: the various shades of the rippling sea, the cute little kid building a sand castle, the old fishing boats anchored in the bay, the fishermen preparing their nets for the night's labour!

Amazing views and a great host
The property is in a lovely position with a fabulous view of the sea. The apartment was extremely clean. George is a great host - extremely reliable and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing place to stay.

Pas de drap et oreillers sur un des 2 lits simple la 1ere nuit, mais après l’avoir demandé ok. Même chose pour eau chaude. Pas insonorisé j’entendais voisins parler vers minuit.

I cannot thank George enough for all of his help with our trip! Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely clean, bright and well maintained property with a little gift on arrival. If you like, George can arrange pickup for you from the airport, car hire, etc. Lovely quiet spot up on the hill overlooking the sea. Perfect for those wanting to relax in peaceful surroundings away from the crowds. 400m from quiet Lygaria beach, but be warn warned- its a bit of a hike back up the road in the heat if you haven't got a car. Small local shop just around the corner for essentials. Drive down to Agia Pelagia in the evenings for a spot of dinner at one of the many wonderful Greek Restaurants on the waterfront. I was VERY pleased to see that there was not an English pub or Breakfast in sight! Perfect! Thank you again George - we will definitely see you again!

Welcoming apartment with fabulous views and great attention to detail
We spent 10 days in this apartment. George had added in an extra bed for our extra child but the room still didn’t feel cramped. The apartment had everything we needed and we appreciated the little touches such as the provision of washing up liquid, hand soap, condiments and water. Makes such a difference. We made good use of the pool with the views of the sea... We hired a car and found the location very convenient. Just off the main highway so handy for Heraklion, Knossos, Water City and the resorts along the north coast. Lygaria Beach is in walking distance of the apartment and we can heartily recommend Sirocco restaurant as recommended to us by George. Very close to Agia Pelagia too, probably walking distance if you can face the walk back up the hill! George recommended several restaurants although we only tried one, Zorbas, but again we weren’t disappointed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to other families.

George the owner was fantastic, always trying to please you,will sort anything out for you. Views of the sea are amazing and would definitely reccomend calling in for a drink or bite to eat and visit Nickolas at Pennystella opposite the small church.

Piece of paradise
What a lovely place that we stayed in. The pool was right oursde to our apartment which we were really pleased with. Nice and clean the maid clean literally everyday. The view was amazing. You do need a car to get about. A bit probably walking up and down the stairs if you problems with legs but still worth the hassle. George was very helpful attended to our every need. Would certainly come again. Thanks for everything George

Sehr schöne Anlage mit tollem Meerblick
Wir haben einen sehr schönen Sommerurlaub in der Anlage verbracht. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und hat einen schönen Pool. Der Vermieter George ist sehr sympathisch und gibt gute Tipps für Ausflüge. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen und kommen gerne mal wieder.

Très belle location ! Totalement conforme à l'annonce.
Une location que nous recommandons sans hésiter ! Très bien équipée, avec une superbe vue sur la mer. Accueil optimal du propriétaire George, aux petits soins pendant tout le séjour. Wie man sich erholsamen Urlaub mit optimaler Betreuung vorstellt!
Wir hatten eine herrliche Woche im Aghia Pelaghia. Die Betreuung durch George war hervorragend. Er hat uns sehr familiär aufgenommen und war immer als Ansprechpartner da, wenn Fragen aufgetaucht sind. Er hat auch gleich von sich aus einen Schutz vor dem herausfallen aus dem Bett für unsere 2 1/2 jährige Tochter vorbeigebracht. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich klasse und entspricht einem sehr hohen Standard. Wir kommen gerne einmal wieder.

Magnifique séjour
Très belle location dans un environnement magnifique. Accueil très agréable de Georges dès notre arrivée à l'aéroport. Discret et disponible, il nous a conseillé sur nos visites de l'île. Il s'est même occupé de nous réserver une voiture sur place. Vous arrivez l'esprit tranquille. La location est très bien équipée, au calme avec une vue magnifique. Wohlfühlunterkunft
Der Empfang war überaus freundlich, das Appartement entsprach den hohen Erwartungen, die wir nach der Ausschreibung hatten. Es ist sehr stilvoll, gemütlich und mit persönlicher Note eingerichtet, die Lage und der Ausblick phantastisch. Georgios war sehr hilfsbereit, stand für Fragen und Auskünfte immer zur Verfügung und bot sogar Fahr- und Transferdienste an. Ein sehr, sehr angenehmer Vermieter, der so gut wie alles möglich machte. Nur das schlechte Wetter zu unserer Reisezeit konnte sogar er nicht ändern. Deshalb konnten wir den wunderschön gelegenen und großen Pool nicht richtig nutzen. Excellent holiday experience
Well furnished, everything you need in the kitchen. Pool spotless and well maintained. Used the Gym, more than enough to keep you ticking over. Local restaurants not too far away, and if your legs wont get you back up the hill, cab is only 5 Euros. George is an excellent host. Not intrusive but there if there is anything you need or want to know. If you are looking at this property, just go. You wont regret it.

Superbe!!!
Super séjour dans cette location propre, spacieuse et avec une vue panoramique très belle! Aucun défaut donc à cette location. Ce qui fait le plus, c'est l'accueil chaleureux et très attentif de nos hôtes. George est très disponible, extrêmement sympathique tout en étant discret et plein de bonnes idées sur ce qu'il faut visiter et où aller manger. Une adresse donc à recommander aussi bien aux familles que pour les couples sans enfants. Une de nos meilleures expériences!

Encore merci George et Claire pour les plus belle vacances de notre vie ! Merci pour vos conseils et votre gentillesse, ainsi que le temps que vous nous avez accordés ! L'appartement est conforme à l'annonce sur le site, la vue est superbe, tout équipé, et très propre. Le petit village en bas est aussi très sympa, et proche. La voiture n'est pas obligatoire mais au retour des plages ça monte ! Il y a plein de restaurants avec de bonne adresse proche de l'appartement (minimum 700 métres) Nous y retournerons !

Beautiful. Would recommend to everyone
I loved my stay here. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the closest village. The views from the apartment is incredible, with views of the sea and the surrounding mountains. The apartment itself is spotless and very comfortable. George and Clare are wonderful hosts, welcoming and very helpful. If you’re lucky George will bring you samples of locally brewed wine. I cannot recommend this place enough – you’d be a fool not to stay here.

What a great place!
First of all, a big thank you to George, he is the ideal host! George picked us up from Heraklion airport, despite the lateness of the hour, then returned us there at the end of the stay. The apartment is very stylishly appointed, with just about everything we could have needed. The kitchen equipment, in particular, was very good allowing us to cook a full meal when we wanted to. The equipment supplied was only second to our own villa in Florida! We didn't hire a car since we wanted to chill out for two weeks (but also get some exercise!). George offered on several occasions to drive us to the local supermarket to pick up supplies. We were very grateful, but declined because the larger of the two nearby towns (Agia Pelagia) was an easy, downhill 2.5km walk then we got a taxi all the way back up the hill with our shopping for 10 Euros. The nearer, smaller, village (Ligaria) was only a 400m downhill walk, so we tackled that when we went there for drinks and/or meals and managed the uphill 400m back on foot. We were a lot fitter on leaving than when we arrived! The pool area is very spacious with plenty of loungers. My wife swam all through the two weeks, but I found the water a bit cold in the second week when the outside temperature fell from 32 degrees to 22-24 degrees. I suggested to George that a small solar panel for the pool could lift the temperature by a few degrees to make the pool more useable early/late in the season. We tried not to bother him, but George was always around if you needed him and even left a local mobile to contact him on. All in all, a wonderful stay which we would recommend to friends and hope to repeat in the near future! Harry McKerral, Falkirk, Scotland
