"Our stay was wonderful. The hotel blends into the jungle environment for nicely. Even though the baboons are noisy running on the roofs in the morning, it is fun to see them and the other monkeys playing all around the resort. The buffets had a larger variety of options with different options at each night. We had friends who were celebrating an anniversary while there and the singing staff were incredible with their version of a happy anniversary song! The only thing what would have been nicer was if the pool was warmer (the pool that overlooks the river is shaded and quite cool and cloudy). But we had an absolutely wonderful stay at a beautiful resort. "

The highlight of our trip was the remarkable safari adventures (game drives), where we had the chance to see elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, leopards, and more up close—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. The delicious meals, tailored to accommodate vegetarian preferences, were excellent. The staff also went above and beyond, assisting with retrieving our luggage from Johannesburg and providing thoughtful support with laundry and toiletries. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay exceptional. We are truly grateful for this amazing experience and will gladly recommend Elephant Plains to anyone visiting the area. "Generally incredible stay. Staff were very attentive. Not as luxury as hotels such as say lion sands which is twice the price though you get all the comfort you need given how busy the days are. If you plan on spending more time in the hotel / room maybe look for more luxury but the balance of comfort and access to the park was perfect for us as first time safari travelers Perfect mix of hotel comfort and access to safari with two daily drives with very knowledgable guides. Small negative was the food was only ok but the quality of the surrounding and access to Kruger more than compensated. We had a family of elephants welcome us on our first day with regular hippo and bird sightings from the terrace during out four nights. We also got engaged in the park. The staff and Elof the guide coordinated an unforgettable experience for my partner and I. Truly made the experience special. "
