"This place is an absolute gem. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and the bed was huge and really comfortable. There were plenty of teas and coffees and some nice biscuits provided and a bottle of water, the bathroom had hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in, the food both at dinner and breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious, the parking was in a locked garage round the back, we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you to all there 💕"

"We loved the history and character of this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the one thing that let it down was the uncomfortable beds. We stayed in the Nuns room, the beds and the pillows were so hard we didnt have a great night's sleep. A really great place, but we were glad we were only sleeping there for 1 night."

The owners son was running the pub and provided the best level of service I've encountered for a considerable time. the food was probably the highlight with a good diverse choice and without doubt the best value I've ever had. Superb choice of places to stay, although the rooms could do with an update."
