"Nice hotel, well maintained. Wonderful location as just on riverside. 1 km distance from bentota beach. Only few things are missing, just like... restaurant and swimming pool. For food they arrange from nearby restaurants. But owner is quite helpful, n quite bigger room size and bathrooms. If can adjust with above requirements...then its the best place to live in bentota, its quite chill and silent...so that you can enjoy yourself."

"Big bedroom with a separate living room and a sitting area outside the room/in the corridor. Breakfast was good, except that they could have served butter cut out for each guest instead of letting guests take butter (actually it was margarine) l from the original package with the same knife used for eating. "It was wonderful stay for our family of 5. You just cant beat the beach location!! Also the room, though not fancy, was spacious and clean. We had lots of room for the kids to spread out and sleep/play. The food was yummy and the owners truly cared if we were happy with our stay. We would gladly go back again!"

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! "A stunning family-run guesthouse with beautiful pool set in lush gardens. The food is exceptional, authentically Sri Lankan and the best I have eaten in Sri Lanka. Several languages are spoken and the owners so helpful in arranging any help needed ; communications and guidance are very good. I did not want to leave this oasis of relaxation and hope to return. "The Taj Bentota is a very big hotel right in the beach. The pool area is spectacular with plenty of space and sunbeds. The breakfast is excellent with something for everyone. We didn’t have supper in any of the restaurants but did have some very good pool bar snacks and drinks. There are lots of excellent seafood restaurants just outside the hotel entrance gates, across the railway track. Overall I would definitely recommend the Taj Bentota and ALL the staff but especially the Duty Manager Mahinda."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The welcome was amazing!!! The rooms were beautiful. The pool was amazing! It’s right on the beach! The food was exxxxxcellent!!! We will stay here again. One of our favorite hotels in all of Sri Lanka! Madhushan helped us with our bags and was very helpful! Krishmal cleaned our room and it was SPOTLESS!! So clean and beautiful! We really appreciated each of the staff who served us. We will be back! Excellent job! "
