"I booked based on the great reviews but wasn't as impressed as I could be. I switched to another hotel for the next day and am much happier. I had a private room and once you are paying double you can get something nicer and way bigger in the area. I had to leave mainly because the wifi was too slow to make calls or work. The shower I used was only trickling and could barely rinse off if using warm water. The windows room was nearly useless and the fan in it constantly ran and was noisy. ...

"The dorm room was very clean! That’s really nice to find when you need an affordable hotel while exploring Yogyakarta. The Hotel area is nearby to main attractions like Malioboro, Pasar Beringharjo, Keraton which was really nice and convenient for tourist like me. The staffs are very attentive as well. Lovely accommodations will come back!"

"The feeling is like staying in a very old hut without modern days aircon/hot shower/tv. So I just hang out at the common area which is pretty hot during the day but is much better than staying in the small and stuffy room."

"This hotel is beautiful. It is old but very charming and it is managed very well. The staff is outstanding. Thank you, Noval, for the driving for the day trips! The breakfast is the most varied that I’ve seen in Asia so far. I had a massage at the spa that was wonderful. "

An exceptional heritage hotel to Yogyakarta

"The interior from the entrance to reception and lobby has a spacious character of a forest. Muted colour grace the ID peppered with Batik elements and sympathetic art works streaming to the bedrooms. The pool in the podium block is breath taking in quiet intimacy with the landscape, bringing you away from the madding crowds. Such a pleasure to celebrate our vacation with this project which reflects timelessness between tradition and modernity. Congratulations to the architects. A+!! "

Noise from the restaurant

"The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room is located at 7flr and the restaurant is on the 8flr just above our room. During our stay there, we are always awaken by the noise above as the restaurant is getting ready for breakfast every morning. "

"The breakfast was good. Staff are friendly. They only had one elevator working so that was a bit inconvenient. The location of the hotel is good. It was a few minutes walk to Galleria Mall. It was a bit far from Malioboro. Here are plenty of nearby eateries "

"Really love the hotel. I picked it because of its location near the train station as I was coming from Jakarta by train, then going to the airport (there is an airport train which takes 1/2 hour). The staff is extremely nice. The breakfast was fantastic… The pool was nice! Internet was reliable, bed comfortable, room spacious, TV had English news and movies. I would definitely come back! "

"Our stay at Manohara Hotel was amazing from start to finish. Nandy and Lili provided exceptional customer service, upgrading our room to VIP, which was such a thoughtful touch. The rooftop pool was a definite highlight—relaxing with stunning views of the city. The bedrooms were spotless, the AC was powerful, and everything felt fresh and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a treat with a lovely mix of local and international dishes. The variety and quality were top-notch.
