"This was a great place to stay while we were in town to visit Liberty University. The location was short walk to great restaurants & historic sites downtown. The direct access outside was super convenient for our pup as well. The communication was excellent. The parking spot is a block away uphill but we were able to load and unload right near door. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Great spot for a couple looking for a quiet place to stay in Lynchburg. Parking can be a littlw tricky if you have a bigger vehicle, but there is usually plenty of street parking of you can't fit into the space provided. Also watch your step when you walk into the Vrbo! There is a bit of a step down I wasn't totally prepared for, but I'm normally a clutz so maybe thats just me :) Overall, great spot, minus my twisted ankle."

"It was very nice, clean, private and well stocked.. our only complaint would be not having any covering’s over the windows making it somewhat eerie feeling. The bedrooms did have blinds ( thank goodness) .. there were a lot of other windows, the doors , living room, kitchen windows where anyone could look in.. other than that it was a great place!"

"Staying in this beautiful historic home was like staying with dear friends. It’s a lovely house in a great neighborhood. It was clean and inviting. Virgil was helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The beds were so comfortable that I slept as well as I do at home. We walked to great restaurants and all around the neighborhood and local park. We loved the front porch! We would definitely stay here again."

"David’s property was wonderful. We were greeted by Mitzi with a giant bowl of candy that was so sweet and kind. The place was spotless and we absolutely loved it there. It was so beautiful. It had everything that we wanted. "We had a wonderful weekend getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We love downtown Lynchburg with its rich history, outdoor activities, and great restaurants. The Gilliam House sits perched overlooking downtown and the surrounding mountains. An easy walk to everything we wanted to do. We absolutely loved the historic house with its quirky personality and tidy decor. Easy parking on a very quiet street was a plus! "

"We stayed for a long weekend. The pics/description on vrbo were spot on. This place is beautiful. You will have everything you will need while visiting. The location is downtown and easy to walk to several restaurants. There are trains close by but the host provides sound machines in each bedroom. There is a restaurant downstairs that does play music but they close around midnight. Again, sound machines. I would gladly stay here again. . "

"This property offered everything I needed for my week. I felt at home with the homey and aesthetic decor, kitchen had every utensil and even my loved Keurig. The back porch overlooked the mountains, train, and riverside district. It was an easy walk from the parking area… one recommendation is to park on the artsy street infringe of the apartment to bring in your luggage- there is a fifteen minute max- I did this when leaving. Giving two thumbs up, I enjoyed my stay!"
