"I would say that they did a very admirable job upgrading a rustic property. Check-in was very pleasant. Inside the room feels every bit a modern motel and then some. The floors are a very nice faux wood, the countertops are a faux granite, and the shower is tiled. The bed in the king room has a pillow top mattress, which isn't the tempur-pedic I'm used to, but still very comfortable. The two easy chairs are very comfortable, clean, and supportive. The toilet wasn't the best. It's very cramped...

"Conveniently located just a short walk to both gondolas at Steamboat, the Grand was a great stay for our family’s ski trip. I would shop it against the Sheraton next door for a price comparison as we had friends staying there and it was surprisingly upscale and closer to the slopes. "

"The Nordic Lodge was quite a surprise. The facilities were nice and warm. The temperature was quite cold when we visited. Parking was convenient, we walked to most of our dining destinations and the public transportation (bus) was great. The bus brought us from Nordic Lodge to the ski resort and back for free. It's a good place and we would stay again."
