"Having a specific room requirement the hotel give me options and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. With the Hotel room only refurbished in October 24, they were well finished and furnished. We ate in the restaurant with the menu offering a good variety of food and we we very happy with the quality of the food. Finally a big thank you to Dela who was a supMagerb host. "

Wynnstay Hotel

3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (159)
"Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. Food excellent quality, well prepared. More choice of breakfast buffet items would be welcome. If you are solo and book in advance for dinner, be aware that you might...

Welsh Country Farmhouse

8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (1)
"Gorgeous farmhouse, in beautiful surroundings. A few more cobwebs than we’d expect, and some issues with lighting (a kitchen light that stays on for 3 seconds, then has a rest for a second, then back on etc etc. Some of the information for guests could be updated or made clearer ie where some facilities are, refuse disposal etc, and some of the basics like a sharp knife would be helpful, but to be fair, the owner and the cleaner were both incredibly helpful."

"it was just what we were looking for . . . a few minor things need looking at - a few more pots and pans. We couldn't;t get the woodturner to stop leaking smoke. But no big complaints - I'd recommend it"

Group and Family Adventures in the Country Sleeps 19

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (13)
"We stayed here as a family of 19 for 2 nights over New Year ranging from age 5-70. It was good as we all had our own individual cottages with kitchens, living rooms and bathroom which gave us our own space but the communal area is the Hall was being enough when we wanted to be together. Only issue was the gas heaters and log burners not working properly in a couple of cottages but electric heaters were available and there is central heating in two of the cottages. Host was great and was...
