"The best part of the trip was the boat tour. The lake and area are beautiful. Please match the online listing to signs posted in the suite (e.g. Pool hours only 6am to 9pm). Check-in was confusing and not advised when requesting it in advance. Pool area is not very private with a half-frosted glass partition wall next to the host’s TV/common area. "We had a wonderful stay at the Sharbot Lake House. We were a bit weary when we first pulled up - the house is right next to a shoddy looking garage and a marina - but the owners have done a great job with privacy fencing and you really don’t notice it at all once on the property. The marina was also very quiet, and didn’t pose a problem at all. There are a LOT of weeds in the water, making it unswimmable from the dock, but we’d paddle out a ways and have great swims in the deep, warm water. The...

"This is an authentic old country house with original, solid wood furniture and comfy chairs. It has the quirky bits of old architecture (tiny toilets) but was clean and in good repair. The stars at night were spectacular without other light pollution."

The owners live on site by the way, along with the three cottages that are for rent...one right beside you at the pool level and one behind you that walks by the pool area to access the lake.
