"We had a lovely experience at this hard-to-fault country house hotel. Noticeably, nothing looked, worn, old or tired. We slept in Room 10 which overlooks the garden and which, going by the fire safety plan on the back of the door, looks to be the largest room on the 1st floor and yes, it's big! Very comfortable 6-foot bed (proper ‘king size') and nice to have a central ceiling light as well as wall and side-table lamps. The bathroom was not huge but adequate, with a large walk-in shower cubicle, ample water pressure and good towels. The public areas, especially the bar area, we found understated, so not especially welcoming, but this was more than offset by the high standard of service from the front of house staff. A special mention for Dan behind the bar who, whilst young, has the right attitude. A good number of tables and chairs outside for al-fresco drinks and meals in the well-kept lawned garden. We chose to eat a light meal in the bar and thought the food was well prepared and good value. Likewise breakfast. The Cotswold (full English) was perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The bacon in particular was thickly sliced and seemed not to have shrunk in cooking. The spread of self-service items was varied and well displayed on a huge table. Altogether a lovely stay; we have every intention of going back"

"Lovely property in a character building. I enjoyed the unique feeling of the hotel, and the great & helpful staff! Great area, and so close to the train station. Breakfast was also great, and felt more personal than other hotel breakfasts that I've had before. My only con is that the floor can be a bit creaky in the hallways, and you may hear someone walking by, but it didn't bother me much."

"A beautiful, yet funky ( a la Ace Hotels though a bit more refined) hotel in middle of Bath, walkable to almost everything, with a great staff, and great restaurant, including room service. Converted Georgian homes, now one building and beautifully done."

"We had a double double room. The room was spacious lots of room for kids to play, clean, beds were very comfy staff helpful and polite. "

From start to finish the staff we're extra helpful, I booked a room that wasn't assessable in a wheelchair butt he staff contacted me and sent me pictures of why the room couldn't be accessed with a wheelchair and switched rooms with no fuss. We had breakfast their and can say it was the best breakfast a hotel has ever offered! Will drf br staying again!"

"A great base for a weekend stay in Cirencester. The hotel is in the middle of town so a great location to explore the town & surrounding areas. The hotel is lovely & rooms well equipped & very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, a great selection of options on offer, everything was delicious. Would stay again if visiting this area. "
