"We liked that the hotel was close to Bellingham, yet not near the mall. I liked that it was a little further out but didn’t feel like a long drive. It was clean and felt more modern than the hotels closer to Western. We’d stay there again. We didn’t eat at the restaurants on property but when I checked in, the woman gave me a complete rundown of them and they sounded great!! The nonsmoking room had the slightest hint of a smokey hotel but not enough to bother us (and I’m very sensitive to smoke). The beds were very comfortable and I like when the shower is separate from the sink area. For Family Weekend, most of the hotels hiked up their prices, yet this place remained reasonable. "

"The Ship Harbor Inn is located very close to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal, making it an ideal location for day trips back and forth on the ferries to the various San Juan islands. There are also fantastic dining options in the town itself, which is just a few minutes drive away, and many interesting things to see and do in the nearby town of La Conner and Deception Pass. Friendly and helpful staff, and lovely grounds if you just want to take some time to relax at the inn itself."
