"The Niramaya property my partner & I spent a week away from the city bustle to relax in was beautiful! We were prepared to pay more for an Island-style getaway, and that’s exactly what we found there. The staff were welcoming and accomodating, the onsite restaurant and pool were never crowded and always delivered. "Large room with kitchenette and separate bedroom. Excellent location. In the centre of the 'tourist area', steps to numerous bars and restaurants. Grocery store / bottle store 3 minute walk. Covered secure parking. Our balcony faced the rear of the property, where construction is underway on a new building. Not a problem for us (they advised us before our arrival of the construction to allow us to change) but, it may block the view when completed. Great place to stay in Port Douglas."

"The staff were friendly and helpful, check in was easy and we were given a high chair for the baby. The room was really nice and big and a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was beautiful and warm. The hotel is so close to the beach and offer toys for the kids to borrow. The only downsides are there is no lift so we had to get all our suitcases up and down 3 flights of stairs, and we did not fit in the underground parking so parking was out the back, further from our room with our luggage,...

"Definitely our go to place in PD having stayed there many times over the years. The property is brilliantly located opposite parkland and very close to all the Port Douglas has to offer. Approximately 10 minute walk to the beach and around the same to the marina and even less to the main shopping strip in Macrossan St. A great spot."
