Our goal is to provide a unique adventure for guests with all the conveniences of home. The Lakefront Retro Airstream is located on the opposite side of the Lake as the Log cabin and Main house (about .25 Mile) and same side as the Tugboat (about .2 Miles) Guests can drive over the Dam to the other side of the lake where you can park (Paved road except last 1400' is gravel/dirt 4x4 is NOT normally needed except in snow/ice).
Inside Space: Inside the Airstream there is a Kitchen with gas cooktop, microwave, coffee pot, small refrigerator w/ freezer, utensils and everything for your cooking needs. We provide coffee, tea, sugar, flour, condiments(ketchup, mustard, mayo) along with spices and cooking oils. There is a lovely dining area (which converts into a queen bed) at the front with view of the lake and kitchen, a single bed is located in the middle and a small full bathroom is also located at the back with a very small shower/tub and composting toilet. A curtain can be drawn to separate the bathroom area from the rest of the Airstream (there is no door).
The Outdoor space: Is very well lit at night by twinkle lights (can be turned off) which makes for a very romantic setting. The red/yellow break and side lights of the Airstream can also be turned on with a switch in the kitchen. Enjoy your coffee or cocktails on the deck with lakefront views. The Airstream and deck are covered incase of rain and includes a loveseat, coffee table and two chairs.
The large fire pit has a metal cooking grate for grilling and 4 modern Adirondack chairs. Two wood swings are in front of the fire pit, perfect for fun and cooling off on a hot day.
Your own beach area and dock sits just a few feet from the Airstream to play, fish, launch boats or slowly wade into the water. Two kayaks are provided and trails are right outside your door that can be taken all the way around the lake and more!
We also have some farm animals...Sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, and rabbits that you can meet and feed. You will most likely meet our golden-doodle Mabel. She is extremely friendly but please do let us know if she's a bother. She enjoys meeting new guests and their furry companions and is wonderful with kids!
We sell dry firewood or you can help yourself to any fallen wood that you can find.
Fishing is "Catch and Release". The Lake is stocked with Crappie, Blue Gill, and Large Mouth Bass. Several 7lb+ Bass have been caught and released.
There is a TV w/ DVD player and we provide a small selection of DVDs.
WiFi: WiFi is provided by Starlink and works quite well for streaming, work, emails, social media, movies, etc.
The Composting Toilet: After extensive research we selected a top of the line Swedish composting toilet. A small fan runs constantly to pull air outside, and a flap opens and closes when you sit so you never see or smell the waste. It works wonderfully as long as you follow the #1 Rule: Everyone Sits! This way liquid and solid waste is separated. TP can be deposited in the same compartment as the solid waste. There is nothing special that guests need to do, just sit and do your business.
Our Tugboat listing uses the same road around the lake and passes the Airstream beach area to access their parking spot 100-200' away.

We do allow pets on a case by case basis. We charge a $100 pet fee before your stay and only allow 2 dogs max. Please be courteous and wipe muddy paws to keep things well maintained. Thank you!
There is never a lifeguard on duty! Please use life vests and supervise children. By booking with us you agree to use the lake, trails, and property at your and your guests own risk.
Swimming, or any other water play is at your own risk. You are accepting responsibility of yourself and other guests when having full use of the property, trail hikes, biking, swimming...etc.
Please use your best judgement when bringing children of all ages, if you are unsure about something please ask.
No parties.
No outside guests allowed.
No motorized vehicles on trails or Lake
Is there Heat and A/C? Yes, there is one roof mounted A/C unit and will be equipped with space heaters durning the cold months (It stays quite warm with little effort). Of course the airstream will not regulate temperature as well as a home so please come prepared with warm and cold weather clothes.
How are the bugs? The Airstream is in the middle of the forest on a Lake, so yes there will be bugs, frogs, toads, and all that mother nature has to offer. Mosquitos are not bad at all, but bring bug spray anyway.
Can you Swim in the Lake? Yes, our family swims here on a regular basis.
Is it safe for kids? Please note that while we have done our best to make the Property safe for everyone, it may not be suitable for all young children. Please use your best judgement as parents.
Is there running water? Yes, there is 2- 50 Gallon tanks of water and a pump that turns on when you open a faucet. If you run out during your stay we can easily fill it back up! 50 gallons usually lasts 3-5 days. We do provide biodegradable soap in the shower and at the kitchen sink.
Is there a grill? The fire pit has a grate that swings over the fire for grilling over wood or charcoal! It is also the perfect setup for S'Mores!
Do you need 4 wheel drive? No except in cases of snow/ice, after our paved driveway the road turns to gravel and dirt. However, it is hard packed soil and fairly easy to manage for most cars. If you are concerned, you can park on the driveway and we will help you get to the Airstream.
The Airstream itself, deck, fire pit, dock, 2 kayaks and beach area are all yours. Shared use of the Lake, Trails, and the rest of the Property.
Our family lives on the property at the opposite side of the lake. We are available at most times of the day and are typically here should you need anything during your stay. Our small farm has chickens, ducks, dwarf goats, sheep, and rabbits. We love sharing the animals with guests, please let us know if you would like to visit and feed them.
