"A superbly presented house with great amenities and privacy within the house. With a hot tub, sauna and pool accessible, whatever the weather brings there is something for all to enjoy. Very safe and friendly for babies and pet dogs, with a secure garden and minimal excess furniture that babies could pull on and could fall on them. "A lovely holiday. The gite has a beautiful garden to sit in and is equipped to a very good standard.A warm welcome from René and Nicole on our arrival. We came to see the Châteaux of the Loire and there were many located very close to the gite. We didn't realise from the description that the bathroom was on a different floor to the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem for us, but could have been for others."

Juste un petit problème de trouver le bon chemin en arrivant à la tombée du jour, car l’adresse n’est pas reconnue par le gps. Il n’y a pas trop de réseau, mais ça nous n’a pas beaucoup dérangé. "Pearl goes out of her way to create a perfect environment for relaxation and is incredibly attuned to the needs of her guests. We are already missing our stay at this cute cottage with its wonderful outdoor area."

"The property was clean and well equipped for our stay. The ‘extras’ such as games, garden furniture and a pool made all the difference. The owners who lived next door were extremely helpful without being intrusive. The welcome gifts of wine and cheese were much appreciated. We would highly recommend!"

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"The house was a really special place to stay with beautiful rooms and fantastic facilities. Despite the cool, damp weather outside, the house was lovely and warm with easily controllable radiators - a really pleasant surprise in such an old building. "This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area."

Convenient and welcoming

"Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over 2 bridges. Lots to explore and many eating choices there. "

Perfect stay at Hotel Rive Sud

"Our stay at the hotel was perfect from start to finish. The owners are super friendly and offered plenty of advice about the surrounding area, and tips on recommended places to visit. The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre. I would highly recommend this property."
