Perfect for student pilot
Came to Van Nuys for my husband's pilot training at the Van Nuys airport. We did not need a rental car because it was a perfect location-- 4 min walk to bus stop, 10 min walk to grocery store and if flying in to Burbank during daytime hours (no bus middle of night) one bus takes you to the neighborhood. If you want to get out beyond Van Nuys, a rental car would be helpful. ...I put 4 stars for neighborhood mainly because I am not used to living near bustling streets that have sidewalks that randomly end. The immediate neighborhood was relaxing to walk about, but beyond that I felt safe walking only during the day. ... It was a quiet, cozy place, comfortable bed, nice to have a kitchen to cook in, and the host was kind and responsive.

6716 Ventura Canyon
We stayed at 6716 because original reservation flooded. We only used ground floor due to difficulty climbing stairs The items below only reflect ground floor issues: - Double bed too small for two adults - No closet space in bedroom - Narrow shower opening -- dangerous for elderly - Window slats lacked privacy - Dishwasher doesn't fully open -- unusual Couple of positive takeaways: - Washer & drier were helpful - Quiet neighborhood - Owner (Walter) very accommodating Overall, I think that the house would be quite suitable for a family with lots of children and no elderly
