Ultimate in a relaxing vacation home. We were a family of 4 (children aged 9 and 12) plus grandma. We spent 3 nights at the property just after Thanksgiving. Everyone had so much room and everything was so clean, bright and peaceful. Laurie was never more than a text message away, reliable, easy to deal with and generous with her time. Bring groceries if you are arriving late because the peacefulness of this home also means you have a 15-20 minute drive to a grocery store or restaurant. We ate at Brothers 2 in Summerside, the Brickhouse in Charlottetown and By the Bay in North Rustico. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, and the grounds were so well kept. If you have curious kids, the exploration opportunities are limitless. From wading along the shoreline, to climbing the red sand beaches, to flying a lobster kite, to canoeing the river, just make sure you bring rubber boots and splash pants so nothing gets in their way of the surprises they will find. We enjoyed the large property's incredible privacy, the indoor and outdoor speaker system which easily hooked up to Spotify, late night Netflix and the impeccable decorations and wall art throughout the home. The sunsets from the property were gorgeous, as were the mornings. The entire back wall of the home is windows. There was nothing like waking up to coffee, a blanket and staring out at the water. Anne of Green Gables is about 20 minutes away and we enjoyed walking the trails attached to Green Gables. We would definitely recommend this home and its owner and hope to one day return.
