"We spent a wonderful week staying at J-Bay with our 2 young adult sons. It was a stormy, rainy week, but we still really enjoyed getting out surfing and walking on the beach. Returning to this beautiful, peaceful home to feel nestled away from the stormy weather outside was so nice. The house is beautiful and spacious and has everything you need to relax, enjoy time together, or find a nook to get some solitude. Because of the stormy weather, we didn't get to enjoy sitting out on the little deck on the inlet, but it looked like a beautiful spot to spend some time in better weather. We did have some stormy soaks in the hot tub! We have always stayed on the Chesterman's Beach side of the highway, but we loved how quiet the inlet side is and would definitely stay here again."

"A few steps from Chesterman Beach, this location is matched only by the accommodation and the vibe that the owners Gillian and Fraser bring with it. My wife and I arrived with a plan to cook, surf, walk, play with our dog and work quietly. This small house with high ceilings and huge windows melts into the outdoor world in any weather in a way I can only describe as improbable. We spent hours on the spacious, elegantly covered and protected porch in rain and wind storms. We cooked all manor of food and even baked a pie. Returning "home" after a morning surf to a hot outdoor shower and a large cup of coffee on our last day, I simply booked again for next year. I travel a lot and around the world and I have never stayed in a place that felt like a home I might never want to leave. "
