"I loved the Blue Cottage. Peaceful, calming and away from everywhere. It was exactly what I needed as I was recovering from 6 months of chemo. Teddy, my male Lhasa Apso, fell in love with the white Shetland pony. He would run to her when he went out and lick her mouth. She wasn’t sure what to make of it at the beginning, but eventually joined in. So funny watching the pair of them. Sasha wasn’t so interested. We had a slight problem the first night; the electricity went off, probably affected by the severe storm the day before. Sean very kindly brought me candles, wood and turf for the fire and make sure everything was okay. I felt very well looked after and certainly would recommend it to anyone else. I was sorry to leave."

"I recently stayed at The Park hotel because I needed a place for an elderly relative with an elevator and an accessible bathroom. I put the request for the bathroom in my comments when booking, and it was provided. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating to our needs. The room was immaculate as indeed was the hotel and we felt it was great value. Would highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again. "

"Our large group of family and friends stayed here for a week and enjoyed the beautiful Drawing Room for morning coffee, cocktail hour and nightcaps (made extra cozy by the fireplace). During the day we enjoyed the nearby lanes and paths that wander through the green and tranquil countryside. There are a lot of attractive and large rooms that are perfect for a large group, but bathrooms (and hot water availability) need updating (some toilet seats were falling off). That said, we'd go back. The only other downside is that it's only convenient to Cong and Ashford Castle. So plan to drive a lot if you'd like to visit other areas/sites. The remoteness was both a plus and minus. The caterer made what we all agreed was the best fish and chips we'd ever had, so plan for at least one meal by them. And you can avoid a drive back to the house after dinner! "
