"The best thing about this house is its proximity to Madison in general and to the river. I loved taking a kayak out on the river around sunrise. Really beautiful. It's close to many fun activities in Madison too. The house itself is comfortable. Hosts are responsive and helpful. Kitchen is lovely. One helpful tip is that this house is on a busy street. "Pleasant stay and affordable "

"This was a perfect spot for our small family wedding. Our entire group loved this place. We were a little concerned if the traffic noise would be a problem, but we didn't even notice it. There were so many entertainment amenities, no one was without something to do during our stay."

"The property was as advertised. It was cute and made good use of the space available. Not overly spacious but we were comfortable with four adults. The “rules” were very clearly posted and were more than reasonable. The only feedback I would give is that it didn’t appear to have the floors well swept and countertops wiped, nor the toilets cleaned. However, they weren’t filthy by any means. Just needed to have a quick cleanup. The linens were all nice and easily accessible. We would stay again. "

"Our large family had a wonderful time here! Plenty of space and activities on the property while also being just a few blocks away from the main drag of downtown Dells. We also appreciated all the little spots on the property that the grandkids could "discover", like the apple trees and swings. Mary, our point of contact, was also very responsive over phone and made our stay even better."

"When I was enrolled at UW-Madison, I lived blocks from The Doty and would have loved to live at this adorable 3-bed home! It is well maintained and really did suit our location needs, near the Overture Center. Located in student rental neighborhood, I was worried it might be loud but we slept well. "Every year we have our college friends come together for a weekend and we make sure to choose a date that aligns with this house's availability because we love it so much!!! The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms is super convenient for a large group. I love that the basement walks out to a large backyard. "Was in town for UWM parents weekend and wanted something more than a simple hotel room as I was going to be there for nearly a week. The Saddlery for the bill. Location was amazing. " We had a great vacation in the Wisc Dells-Baraboo area with Pine Cottage as our base. The cabin has a pretty setting on a small lake with a dock and rowboat. The kids fished and both kids and adults enjoyed rowing the boat. The campfire setting is lovely. No swimming for us at the cabin -- later in the summer there's a lot of algae.
